[ARCHIVED] Request to the community to conduct business remotely if possible

City Hall

SUMMIT, N.J., March 11, 2020 – The City of Summit continues to closely monitor developments in the global outbreak of coronavirus disease (COVID-19), providing daily updates on new mitigation practices and protocols being implemented citywide on the city website and social media channels (Facebook, twitter and Instagram).

While there remains a high level of uncertainty about the potential impact of the virus, city officials are initiating a number of practices to help promote containment of it. These actions are based on guidance and recommendations from health officials, and a priority to safeguard the health and wellbeing of the Summit community and city staff.

Before coming to City Hall or any city office location, please consider whether or not business could be conducted remotely online or by calling or emailing the department that provides the required service.
