The New Jersey Department of Community Affairs has implemented a

Winter Termination Program to prevent service discontinuation for eligible residential customers receiving residential electric, sewer, and water service from a local authority, municipal utility, or rural electric cooperative from November 15, 2023, through March 15, 2024. Go to https://www.nj.gov/dca/dhcr/offices/wintertermination.shtml to view eligibility requirements and access the self-certification form.

Fourth quarter property tax payments are due on February 1, 2024. Submit no later than February 12, 2024, to avoid a penalty.

Payment can be made in person at the tax office or outdoor drop box at City Hall, 512 Springfield Avenue, online, or by mail. Mailed payments must be received at City Hall by the due date; the tax office does not recognize postmarks.

Monies from all automatic payments will be extracted on February 6, 2024. Please check your account on February 7 to be sure the transaction was correctly processed. Please note: if you have recently sold or refinanced your home, contact the Tax Office to terminate automatic payments. Monies will be extracted until the payment agreement is terminated. Contact the office of the Tax Collector at 908-273-6403 with any questions.
