The State Low Income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP)

can help you pay arrears for your water and sewer bills. The program may also be able to help address tax liens due to water and sewer arrears. To get more information and apply, go to waterassistance.nj.gov or call NJ211.

Fourth quarter property tax payments are due on November 1, 2022. Submit no later than November 10, 2022 to avoid a penalty.

Payment can be made in person at the tax office or outdoor drop box at City Hall, 512 Springfield Avenue, online, or by mail. Mailed payments must be received at City Hall by the due date; the tax office does not recognize postmarks.

Monies from all automatic payments will be extracted on November 3, 2022. Please check your account on November 4 to be sure the transaction was correctly processed. Please note: if you have recently sold or refinanced your home, contact the Tax Office to terminate automatic payments. Monies will be extracted until the payment agreement is terminated. Contact the office of the Tax Collector at 908-273-6403 with any questions.
