[ARCHIVED] City schedule changes and closures for Thanksgiving

Please be advised of the following city schedule changes and closures for the Thanksgiving holiday.

City office closures
City offices will be closed on Thursday, November 28, and Friday, November 29, for the Thanksgiving holiday. 

Parking holidays
The following dates are parking holidays in Summit with no fees required for on-street parking, or parking in municipal lots and garages: Thursday, November 28, Friday, November 29, and Saturday, November 30. More information is available at cityofsummit.org/parking

Recycling and trash collection changes
There is a modified recycling collection schedule for the week of Thanksgiving. Recycling collection on Monday, November 25, Tuesday, November 26, and Wednesday, November 27, is unaffected and will continue as planned. There is no recycling collection on Thursday, November 28. Thursday collection will be pushed to Friday, November 29, and Friday collection will be pushed to Saturday, November 30. 

Recycling items should be placed at the curb by 6AM on the scheduled day for weekly pickup, or the night before. Please use the SeeClickFix app or the Report a Concern module on the city website to report missed pickups: cityofsummit.org/reportaconcern. Please note, household trash is collected on all holidays in Summit. More information is available at cityofsummit.org/recycle

Transfer Station closures
The regular schedule for the Municipal Transfer Station is Tuesday through Friday from 7:30AM to 3:45PM, and Saturday from 7:30AM to 4:45PM; it is closed on Sunday and Monday. The Transfer Station will be closed on Thursday, November 28, for the Thanksgiving holiday. More information is available at cityofsummit.org/transferstation.
