A Summit resident for more than 20 years, Mayor Elizabeth Fagan considers Summit a treasured community of people with a shared desire to uplift and protect our residents. With a deep belief in giving back, Mayor Fagan is the former President of the Summit Board of Health, served as President of the Summit Lacrosse Club and Summit Women’s Lacrosse Association, Co-President of Summit Boosters Association, and a committee member of the Lincoln-Hubbard PTO. She has also served on the Boards of The Connection and The Summit Junior Fortnightly. She has been on the Planning Committee for the Elks Charity Ball and the YMCA Special Needs Prom. In addition, Mayor Fagan coached youth girls lacrosse for 18 years, perhaps her favorite endeavor of all time. She has also proudly served as Chairwoman and volunteer for the Santa Claus Shop, which provides complimentary holiday shopping for over 400 families in need each year.
A family medicine physician for over 20 years, Mayor Fagan is a graduate of Harvard University with a degree in Fine Arts and received her medical degree from Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University. She completed her residency at Overlook Hospital where the faculty selected Elizabeth to be Chief Resident and the residents elected her President of the House Staff Association.
Most importantly, Mayor Fagan has been married to her husband Kevin for the past 24 years and is a devoted mother to four children, all beneficiaries of the Summit Public School system.
