Department of Community Programs Open House: April 7

The Summit Department of Community Programs (DCP) will host an open house on Sunday, April 7, from 4PM to 6PM at the Summit Community Center located at 100 Morris Avenue. Residents are invited to meet department staff, learn about DCP programs and projects, and provide feedback.

From 4PM to 4:45PM attendees can meet department staff, visit with program providers, and learn about DCP events, programs, and projects. From 4:45PM to 5:20PM department staff will give a presentation on recent accomplishments, current projects, and the 2024 department goals. From 5:20PM to 6PM attendees will have the opportunity to provide feedback and ideas for the department.

Public Safety Forum: April 9

The City of Summit will host a community forum on public safety and city services on Tuesday, April 9, from 6PM to 9PM at the Summit Community Center located at 100 Morris Avenue. Residents are invited to view displays and meet staff during the open house from 6PM to 6:30PM. At 6:30PM the Summit Police Department will give a presentation on its home security assessment program, new drone initiative, and other public safety measures. The Q&A session will begin at 7PM with city staff and local elected officials in attendance to answer questions from the public.

The winning entries from the “Summit Through Your Eyes” photo contest will be displayed at the April 9 community forum and showcased during the open house portion of the event.
