[ARCHIVED] Agenda highlights for the Tuesday, May 16, Common Council meeting

Whats on the agenda newsfeed

The Council meeting on Tuesday, May 16 will include hearings on the municipal, parking, sewer, and special improvement district budgets. Please find all budget information here on the city website. After council and community discussion, resolutions will be considered to formally adopt the budgets.

Several parking related ordinances will be introduced to provide resident commuter parking in the Post Office lot, increase non-resident commuter parking fees, establish a parking reservation platform, change parking times on Morris Avenue between Elm Street and Maple Street for pre-paid employee parking, and increase street meter fees for three-hour, five-hour and 12-hour parking. Hearings for those ordinances will be held at the next council meeting on Wednesday, June 7.

Council will also consider several other resolutions including a couple of personnel-related resolutions pending discussion in closed session, a bid award for the annual micro-surfacing program, authorize additional locations for Hometown Heroes banners, and authorize special event parking fees for the LPGA Golf tournament in June.
