Boston Tea Party

Join us on Friday, February 6, 2026, for a Boston Tea Party at the Summit Community Center. Enjoy finger sandwiches, scones, tea-based beverages, and arts and crafts at this fun, hands-on look at this important moment in American history!

Senior programming will be available from 12PM to 1:30PM and programming for K-5 students will be available from 3:30PM to 5PM.

We’ll kick things off with a short Boston Tea Party story and a Readers Theatre created by 4th grade IDEAS students at Summit Public Schools. Then it’s time for the tea party luncheon, a make-your-own tea bag demo and activity, a popsicle-stick boat-building competition, picket sign making, and a “tea toss” into our mini “ocean” (a small pool). Crosswords will be available, too.
