Lecture: George Washington, New Jersey, and the Revolutionary War
Thursday, January 29, 2026
For adults.
George Washington was certainly central to The Revolutionary War. In many ways, so was New Jersey. This lecture looks at both George Washington’s military career starting in 1754 as a 21-year-old major in the Virginia militia, and a history of the Revolutionary War including the military battles and winter encampments in New Jersey. Presenter: Joel Farkas, volunteer docent and tour guide for the National Park Service at Washington's Headquarters in Morristown, New Jersey.
