12/17/2025—At approximately 0945 hours, a 27-year-old female from Summit was arrested and charged with one (1) count of animal cruelty, a crime of the third degree, stemming from an incident that occurred on 11/22/25. The defendant was processed and released with a pending superior court date.
12/18/2025—At approximately 1211 hours, a traffic officer conducted a motor vehicle stop that resulted in the arrest of a 31-year-old male from Boonton for driving while suspended as a result of a previous DWI. The defendant was processed and released with a pending municipal court date.
12/19/2025—At approximately 2244 hours, patrol officers conducted a motor vehicle stop that resulted in the arrest of a 37-year-old male from Glen Gardner for three (3) outstanding warrants out of Newark and one (1) out of East Orange. The defendant was processed and transported to East Orange Police Department.
12/22/2025—At approximately 0005 hours, patrol officers conducted a motor vehicle stop that resulted in the arrest of a 34-year-old male from Perth Amboy for driving under the influence. The suspect was also charged with resisting arrest for actions during the incident. The defendant was processed and released with a pending municipal court date.
12/22/2025 – At approximately 0800 hours, an 83-year-old male from Summit was arrested on a warrant for endangering the welfare of a child, specifically possession and distribution of child pornography. The suspect was processed and transferred to the custody of the Department of Criminal Justice where he was later transported to Union County Jail.
12/22/2025—At approximately 0943 hours, a report was taken for a theft that occurred at a Morris Avenue business over the weekend. The caller stated that during a routine review of security footage he observed a male, approximately 40 to 50 years old, bald with a dark-colored beard, steal a bottle of champagne. Taken was a bottle of Cristal Champagne valued at $350.00.
12/22/2025—At approximately 1700 hours, a report was taken for a theft that occurred at a Springfield Avenue house of worship. The victim stated that on 12/20/25 between 1730 and 1830 hours, his jacket was stolen from a clothing rack inside the facility. Taken was a Michael Kors jacket valued at $100.00. Inside the jacket contained a wallet, gloves, key fob, and an undisclosed amount of cash.
12/23/2025—At approximately 0045 hours, patrol officers responded to a Morris Avenue residence for a report of a dispute. On-scene investigation resulted in the arrest of a 42-year-old male from Summit for one (1) count of aggravated assault, a crime of the second degree. The defendant was processed and transported to Union County Jail.
12/25/2025—At approximately 2159 hours, patrol officers responded to a Summit Avenue residence for a report of an assault that just occurred. On-scene investigation resulted in the arrest of a 20-year-old male from Summit for simple assault. The defendant was processed and released with a municipal court date.
12/29/2025 – At approximately 1427 hours, patrol officers conducted a motor vehicle stop that resulted in the arrest of a 28-year-old male from Piscataway for an outstanding warrant out of Mountainside. The defendant was processed and released pending a municipal court date.
12/29/2025 – At approximately 1949 hours, patrol officers arrested a 20-year-old male out of Summit for a simple assault that occurred 12/25/25. The suspect was processed and released pending a municipal court date.
12/30/2025 – At approximately 2153 hours, patrol officers conducted a motor vehicle stop that resulted in the arrest of a 40-year-old male from Madison for an outstanding warrant out of Union. The defendant was processed and released pending a municipal court date.
All parties are presumed innocent until proven guilty in the court of law.
