City office closures

City offices will be closed on Thursday, January 1, and Friday, January 2, 2026. The Community Center will be closed January 1; open gym programming info for January 2-3 available at cityofsummit.org/holidayopengym. 

Modified recycling collection

There is a modified recycling collection schedule for this week:

• There is no collection on Thursday, January 1.
• Thursday collection moves to Friday, January 2, and Friday collection moves to Saturday, January 3.

Recycling items should be placed at the curb by 6AM on your pickup day, or the night before. Please use the SeeClickFix app or the Report a Concern module on the city website to report missed pickups.

The household trash collection schedule does not change on holidays; it is picked up as usual. More information on trash and recycling is available at cityofsummit.org/recycle.

Transfer Station closures

The Transfer Station will be closed on January 1.

Parking holidays

January 1-2 are parking holidays in Summit with no fees required for on-street parking, or parking in municipal lots and garages.
