SPD Activity blotter October 6 to 19, 2025 

10/06/2025—At approximately 1410 hours, a 34-year-old female from Newark was arrested and charged with criminal mischief and harassment. The defendant was processed and transported to Union County Jail.

10/06/2025—At approximately 1325 hours, a 30-year-old male from Newark was arrested and charged with harassment. The defendant was processed and released pending superior court date.

10/06/2025—At approximately 1234 hours a report was taken for a burglary into a motor vehicle parked at a New England Avenue residence. The victim stated they discovered that sometime during the overnight hours, someone entered their vehicle and rummaged through the glove box. At the time of the report, nothing was noted taken. The vehicle did not appear to have been forcibly entered.

10/09/2025—At approximately 0511 hours, a 50-year-old male from New Providence was arrested and charged with stalking. The defendant was processed and transported to Union County Jail.

10/09/2025—At approximately 2113 hours, a 40-year-old male from Paterson was arrested for an outstanding warrant out of Warren County. The defendant was processed and turned over to Warren County Police.

10/13/2025—At approximately 1328 hours, a 28-year-old male from Parsippany was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated. The defendant was processed and released with a pending municipal court date.

10/15/2025—At approximately 1346 hours, a 49-year-old male from Kansas City was issued a municipal ordinance summons and arrested for outstanding warrants from both the City of Paterson and South Orange. The defendant was processed and released with a new pending court date.

10/15/2025—At approximately 1623 hours, a 31-year-old male from Newark was arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit shoplifting, resisting arrest, and hindering apprehension. This arrest stems from a shoplifting at a Springfield Avenue retail establishment. Additionally, the male had an outstanding federal warrant and was wanted by the U.S. Marshals Service. The defendant was processed and transported to Essex County Jail.

10/15/2025—At approximately 1623 hours, a 34-year-old male from Newark was arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit shoplifting. This arrest stems from a shoplifting at a Springfield Avenue retail establishment. Additionally, the male had two outstanding shoplifting warrants from both Wayne Township and the City of Elizabeth. The defendant was processed and transported to Essex County Jail.

10/15/2025—At approximately 1623 hours, a 38-year-old male from Newark was arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit shoplifting. This arrest stems from a shoplifting at a Springfield Avenue retail establishment. Additionally, the male had an outstanding burglary warrant from the City of Newark. The defendant was processed and transported to Essex County Jail.

10/15/2025—At approximately 1623 hours, a 35-year-old male from Kearny was arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit shoplifting and possession of cocaine. This arrest stems from a shoplifting at a Springfield Avenue retail establishment. The defendant was processed and transported to Essex County Jail.

10/16/2025—A 28-year-old female from Summit was arrested for an Aggravated Assault warrant out of Orange Township. The defendant was processed and turned over to Orange Police Department.
