The Summit Department of Community Programs is hosting a summer health fair and swim lesson on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, from 12PM to 8PM at the Summit Family Aquatic Center (SFAC), located at 100 Ashwood Avenue. This event is free and open to SFAC members.

The event will begin with a free swim lesson at 12PM for SFAC members and paid guests. Swimming instructors will lead children in a swimming lesson that will include instructions and information on how to safely enter the water, hold breath while underwater, floating skills, and basic stroke techniques.

A health and safety fair will follow the swim lesson, from 1PM to 5PM, featuring health and safety displays from the Summit police and fire departments, Summit Volunteer First Aid Squad, and Westfield Regional Health Department with information on how to stay safe at the pool during the summer months.

The first float night of the season will be held from 5PM to 7:30PM, featuring a float parade, photo booth, splash contest, games, and more, sponsored by the GRACE Youth Advisory Council. SFAC members may invite guests for free to this portion of the event.
