Activity blotter March 24 to April 6, 2025

03/27/2025—A 56-year-old-male from Summit was arrested and charged with theft and defiant trespassing. On scene investigation revealed the suspect, who was previously banned from Dunkin Donuts on Union Pl, entered the business and stole money from the tip jar. The defendant was processed and released with a mandatory municipal court date.

03/29/2025—At 1710 hours a report was taken for a theft that occurred at 7-11 on River Rd. The victim stated at approximately 1700 hours three (3) female actors entered the business and left without paying for multiple items. Taken was six (6) beverages, six (6) ice creams, and five (5) bags of chips. The approximate value for the items taken is $50.

03/30/2025 – At 0731 hours a report was taken from a man who was victimized by an online scam. The victim reportedly sent $2000 to an unknown suspect via Telegram, Chime, and Cash App.

04/01/2025—A 30-year-old male from Dover was arrested for an NCIC warrant issued by the Oakland County Sherriff’s Office in Michigan. The Oakland County Court denied extradition, and the defendant was subsequently released with a pending court date.

04/02/2025—At 1408 hours a report was taken for a theft that occurred at Overlook Hospital. The victim stated that while they were admitted between 02/25/25 and 03/05/25 multiple personal items, including $280 in currency, were stolen. The total value of items taken is reported to be $2,475.

04/03/2025 – At 0654 hours a report was taken for criminal mischief that is believed to have occurred outside the Summit Post Office, 61 Maple St. The caller reported two (2) ceramic planters were broken on the front steps of the post office. The estimated value of the damage is $85.

04/03/2025—A 65-year-old female from Newark was arrested for an outstanding ATS warrant out of Woodbridge Township. The defendant was processed and released with a pending court date.

04/03/2025—A 47-year-old male from Brooklyn was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated. The defendant was processed and released with a pending municipal court date.

04/04/2025—A 39-year-old male from Stroudsburg was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated. The defendant was processed and released with a pending municipal court date.
