At approximately 05:56AM on Friday, February 21, 2025, the Summit Police Department received a report of a stolen vehicle from a residence on Greenbriar Road. Further investigation revealed that at approximately 01:40am two (2) males (see photo below) exited a white Range Rover SUV, which was idle in the street with at least one (1) occupant in the driver’s seat. The suspects then proceeded up the driveway where they located an unlocked white 2025 Infiniti QX80. The suspects utilized a garage door opener, which was inside the Infiniti, to gain access to the interior basement level of the residence. The suspects remained in the residence for approximately five minutes gathering valuables before one (1) suspect exited with two (2) purses, a coat, and several other miscellaneous items. The other suspect exited with the keys to the Infiniti. The first suspect returned to the getaway Range Rover waiting in the street and the other proceeded to steal the Infiniti. A third vehicle can be seen driving on Greenbriar Road as the suspects left the residence; however, it is unclear as to whether or not it is involved at this time. There was no interaction between the homeowners and suspects while inside the residence, and at this time it does not appear that the suspects proceeded to any other level while inside the house. In the photo it also appears one of the suspects was carrying a pistol when he made entry into the house.
The Summit Police Department recognizes the severity of this crime and as always, will be putting maximum effort into locating these suspects. Please remember to lock all doors and report suspicious activity. Anyone with information pertinent to the investigation is encouraged to contact the Summit Police Department Detective Bureau at (908) 273-0051.
