Activity blotter January 27 to February 9

01/30/2025—At 0752 hours a report was taken for a theft that occurred at a residence located on Clearview Drive. The victim stated that a package that was delivered and left on their front porch was stolen sometime earlier in the day. Two (2) iPads were taken, valued at $700. 

02/03/2025—31-year-old male, of Springfield, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence. The defendant was processed and released with a pending court date.

02/04/2025—52-year-old male, of Readington, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence. The defendant was processed and released with a pending court date.

02/04/2025—18-year-old male, of Summit, was arrested and charged with unlawful taking and obstruction of justice. The defendant was processed and released with a pending Superior Court date.

02/08/2025—At 1646 hours police units responded to a Deforest Avenue business for a theft that just occurred. The manager stated that a shopper described as a 30-year-old black female, wearing black pants and a black puff jacket, placed merchandise in their purse. When confronted, the suspect fled the area in a gray 2015 Nissan Altima. Taken was approximately $50 dollars of household items.
