Weekly blotter June 17 to 30, 2024

06/19/2024—At 0056 hours a report was taken for a theft that occurred to a pedestrian on Broad Street. The victim flagged down an officer on patrol to report that their property was just stolen by an unknown individual described as a Hispanic male, 5’5” in height, wearing a red shirt. Taken was a GPX CD player and black Verizon flip phone. The total amount of the theft was approximately $150.

06/23/2024—At 0846 hours a report was taken for a burglary to an unsecured motor vehicle parked at an Ashwood Avenue residence. The victim stated security footage captured an unknown individual successfully gaining entry to their blue 2014 BMW X1 during overnight hours. The suspect fled the area when realizing there was nothing of value in the vehicle and that the key fob was not in the vehicle.

06/27/2024—At 1856 hours a report was taken for a theft that occurred at a Canoe Brook Parkway residence. The victim stated sometime between 6/14/24 and 6/27/2024 a package that had been delivered was stolen. Taken was a pair of Soyus brand microphones valued at $1400.

06/28/2024—At 1928 hours a report was taken for a theft that occurred at the Summit Family Aquatic Center. The victim stated they left their bicycle secured at the entrance to the facility and when they returned at 1900 hours the bike was gone and the damaged lock was left behind. Taken was a white Radio Flyer Bicycle valued at $700.

06/28/2024—At 1958 hours a report was taken for a theft that occurred at the Summit Family Aquatic Center. The victim stated they left their bicycle secured at the entrance to the facility and when they returned at 1900 hours the bike was gone and the damaged lock was left behind. Taken was an orange Giant Bicycle valued at $1000.

06/28/2024—At 1959 hours a report was taken for a theft that occurred at the Summit Family Aquatic Center. The victim stated that a pair of Adidas Yeezy Foam Runner shoes valued at $250 were stolen.

06/30/2024—John Restivo, 66, of Springfield was arrested and charged with simple assault. Mr. Restivo was processed and released with a pending court date.
