Weekly blotter June 3 to 16
06/09/2024—At 1124 hours a report was taken for a stolen motor vehicle located at a Morris Avenue business. The victim stated that on 6/8/24 at approximately 2106 hours a vehicle was stolen from the parking lot. Taken was a 2023 Nissan GT-R, valued at $132,972.
06/09/2024—Nicholas Olvera, 26, of Springfield was arrested and charged with simple assault and theft. Mr. Olvera was processed and released with a pending court date.
06/09/2024—At 1209 hours a report was taken for a burglary into a motor vehicle parked on Orchard Street. The victim stated that sometime between 1500 and 1730 hours on 6/8/24 an unknown individual entered their unlocked vehicle and stole a wallet. Taken was an undisclosed amount of cash and credit cards.
06/10/2024—Deane Tracy, 63, of Summit was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a weapon and assault. Mr. Tracy was processed and released with a pending court date.
06/10/2024—Aiden Harrington, 21, of Summit was arrested and charged with resisting arrest. Mr. Harrington was processed and released with a pending court date.
06/14/2024—At 0719 hours a report was taken for a burglary and motor vehicle theft that occurred at an Iris Road residence. The victim contacted the police when they realized their BMW X-7 was no longer in the driveway. A review of surveillance camera footage showed an unknown individual walking on the property from the driveway to the opposite side of the house at 0419 hours. The suspect made entry into the house and took a wallet, laptop, and a key fob to the BMW X-7. They proceeded to use the key fob to start the vehicle and drive away from the residence. The vehicle was found parked and unoccupied later the same day in the Bronx, NY.
06/16/2024—Maria Rodriguez, 28, of Summit was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a weapon and simple assault. Ms. Rodriguez was processed and transported to Union County Jail.
