Weekly blotter March 11 to March 24

03/11/2024—Jeffrey Nelson, 46, of Irvington was arrested and charged with shoplifting. Mr. Nelson was processed and released with a pending court date.

03/11/2024—Gorge Alfredo, 26, of Newark was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated. Mr. Alfredo was processed and released with a pending court date.

03/16/2024—Mary Moran, 54, of Staten Island was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated. Ms. Moran was processed and released with a pending court date.

03/17/2024—At 2246 hours a report was taken for a burglary to an unsecured motor vehicle parked at a Primrose Place residence. The victim stated sometime during the overnight hours their 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee was entered, rummaged through, and found with the driver’s side door ajar. At the time of the report nothing was noted taken.

03/18/2024—George Brown, 44, of Summit was arrested and charged with two counts of burglary and criminal attempt and violation of the city Resident Protection ordinance. Mr. Brown was processed and transported to Union County Jail.

03/18/2024—At 0733 hours a report was taken for a burglary to an unsecured motor vehicle parked at a Mountain Avenue residence. The victim stated sometime during the overnight hours their 2011 Honda Pilot was entered and rummaged through. Taken was an EZ-Pass which was located in the center console of the vehicle.

03/23/2024—Kevin Ingram, 30, of Summit was arrested for an outstanding warrant out of Westfield. Mr. Ingram was processed and transported to Westfield Police Department.
