Weekly blotter February 26 to March 10

03/01/2024—Cristian Ramirez-Vera, 25, of Summit was arrested and charged with driving under the influence. Mr. Ramirez-Vera was processed and released with a pending court date.

03/02/2024—Tyjjir Crosby, 19, of Irvington was arrested and charged with simple assault. Mr. Crosby was processed and released with a pending court date.

03/04/2024—At 1916 hours a report was taken for a burglary to an unsecured motor vehicle parked at an Edgewood Road residence. The victim stated that at 0255 hours video surveillance footage captured an unknown individual that entered their vehicle through the driver’s side door and rummaged through the center console. Taken was an iPhone charger valued at $10.

03/05/2024—At 0849 hours a report was taken for a theft that had just occurred at a Morris Avenue business. The victim stated that an unknown individual entered the store and grabbed a bag of Sour Patch Kids and ran off without paying for the merchandise. The total amount of the theft was $4.27.

03/06/2024—At 1307 hours a report was taken for a theft that occurred at a Beauvoir Avenue construction site. The victim stated that at 0354 hours video surveillance footage captured an unknown individual that entered the job site, broke into a secured storage unit, and removed copper wire and other materials. The total amount of the theft was not disclosed at the time of the report.
