Weekly blotter November 6 to November 19

11/08/2023—At 1212 hours a report was taken for a theft of services at an Ashwood Avenue business. The victim stated at 1045 hours an unknown male arrived in a yellow sedan requesting $50 in gasoline and then fled the area without paying, driving down Broad Street towards Route 24.

11/08/2023—At 1452 hours a report was taken for a theft that occurred at a Maple Street business. The victim stated he left an electric scooter unsecured inside the building on 11/6/23 and returned on 11/8/2023 to find it missing. Taken was a black and red RCB Electric double shock absorption 500 W scooter, valued at $530.

11/10/2023—At 1544 hours a report was taken for a theft that occurred at a Beechwood Road business. The victim stated they left a bicycle unsecured in front of the store between 1440 hours and 1540 hours. When they returned to retrieve the bicycle, it was gone. Taken was a Trek Marlin 5 XS 27.5 mountain bike valued at $960.

11/11/2023—At 1819 hours a report was taken for a theft that occurred at a River Road business. The victim stated between 1712 hours and 1810 hours their wallet was stolen from a bag that was placed in a locker. Taken was a dark brown tri-fold wallet with multiple credit cards and $120 in cash.

11/14/2023—Ruben Morales, 42, of Springfield was arrested for an active warrant out of Hudson County. Mr. Morales was processed and transported to Hudson County Sheriff’s Office.

11/14/2023—Cristiano Cicoria, 25, was arrested and charged with criminal mischief and simple assault. Mr. Cicoria was processed and released with a pending court date.

11/15/2023—At 2100 hours a report was taken for a theft of services at a Summit Avenue business. The victim stated a dark blue BMW sedan with tinted windows requested to have the vehicle filled with fuel and that they would pay with cash. Once the vehicle was filled, the driver fled the area without paying.

11/19/2023—Francoise Dix, 51, of Summit was arrested and charged with driving under the influence. Ms. Dix was processed and released with a pending court date.

11/19/2023—Edward Ho, 60, of Edison was arrested and charged with trespassing. Mr. Ho was processed and released with a pending court date.
