There is a modified recycling collection schedule for the week of July 3. Recycling collection on Monday, July 3, is unaffected and will continue as planned. There is no recycling collection on Tuesday, July 4. Starting on Tuesday, July 4, all collections will move to the next day. Tuesday's collection will be pushed to Wednesday, July 5, Wednesday collection will be pushed to Thursday, July 6, and so on, ending with Friday collection being pushed to Saturday, July 8.
Recycling items should be placed at the curb by 6AM the morning of residents’ weekly pickup, or the night before. Summit residents should use the SeeClickFix app or the Report a Concern module on the city website to report missed pickups. Please note, trash is still collected on holidays in Summit. City offices will be closed on Monday, July 3, and Tuesday, July 4; both days are parking holidays in Summit with no fees required for on-street parking or parking in municipal lots and garages. Mayor Nora Radest's office hours on Monday, July 3, are canceled. The Transfer Station will be closed on Monday, July 3, and will be open on Tuesday, July 4, from 7:30AM to 3:45PM.
