Summit Police Department activity blotter May 1 to 15, 2023
5/01/2023—At 1133 hours a report was taken for a burglary that occurred at a Beauvoir Avenue business. The victim stated video surveillance footage captured an unknown individual attempt to gain entry to a secured sliding door unsuccessfully and then gain entry through an unsecured window. The suspect was observed going through multiple offices located in the building. At the time of the report nothing was taken.
5/02/2023—At 0517 hours a report was taken for a burglary that occurred at a Colt Road residence. The victim stated that that an unknown individual entered their unsecured garage at 0512 hours. The victim stated that they received an alarm notification that the garage door was opened. At that time, they observed a male running down their driveway, enter a vehicle and flee the area.
5/07/2023—At 0551 hours a report was taken for a burglary into an unsecured motor vehicle parked on Beechwood Road. The victim stated that they parked their Toyota Rav4 at approximately 2100 hours on 5/6/2023 and found their vehicle had been rummaged through just prior to calling dispatch. Two credit cards were taken from the vehicle.
5/07/2023—At 1016 hours a report was taken for a burglary into an unsecured motor vehicle parked on Euclid Avenue. The victim stated that they parked their Subaru Forester at approximately 2000 hours on 5/6/2023 and found various personal items missing when they returned to their vehicle at 1000 hours on 5/7/223. Taken was one full set of Callaway Apex golf clubs, one set of Srixon Soft Feel golf balls and one brown leather wallet. The monetary value of the items taken at the time of the report is unknown.
5/09/2023—At 1517 hours a report was taken for a theft that occurred at a Tulip Street residence. The victim stated that their 24-foot aluminum extension ladder was stolen from their shed between the dates of 5/4/23 and 5/6/23. The monetary value of the stolen ladder is $300.
5/09/2023—Andriy Blyednov, 46, of Morristown was arrested for an outstanding warrant out of Readington Township. Mr. Blyednov was processed and released with a new court date.
5/09/20223—Dondrey Johnson, 20, of Dover was arrested and charged with defiant trespassing. Mr. Johnson was processed and released with a pending court date.
