The City of Summit Fire Department is joining the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation for the Light the Night for Fallen Firefighters event beginning Thursday, May 4, through Sunday, May 7, 2023. The memorial bell located at fire headquarters at 396 Broad Street will be illuminated in red from May 4 to 7.

Throughout the country, fire departments and service organizations, businesses, community organizations, and homes are invited to “light up red” from May 4 to May 7 in honor and remembrance of the sacrifice of America’s fallen fire heroes.
