President Pro Tem Susan Hairston will run the Tuesday, May 2, Common Council meeting as Council President Vartan is traveling. Council will receive an update on the new fire headquarters project and there will be a presentation from a representative of NJ American Water.
Council will consider several resolutions, including resolutions authorizing a transfer of funds for the temporary operating budget, appointing a new Humane Law Enforcement Officer (for animal matters), updating the personnel policy to reflect summer hours at City Hall, and executing a sanitary sewer easement agreement on Butler Parkway.
Other resolutions authorize submission of a stormwater assistance grant, 2023 Arbor Day festivities, and award a bid for the Hobart Avenue Sidewalk Project that will add a sidewalk extending to the Arboretum and a flashing beacon at the intersection of Hobart Avenue and Hobart Road.
