Council will hear two presentations. One from Girl Scout Troop #41160 on their "Take Action" Project, and the other is the annual presentation of the Municipal Operating Budget from City Administrator Michael Rogers.
Council will consider several statutorily required resolutions related to the budget and the hearing date will be set for its meeting on May 16.
There is one ordinance for hearing and final consideration which will repeal and replace the flood plain management regulations section of our city code. This is required by the State of New Jersey.
Council will consider several other resolutions including awarding bids for road improvement and sidewalk projects, co-sponsorship of the Parkline Foundation's bridge dedication event, and a grant submission related to pedestrian and traffic safety.
Finally, the council will consider a resolution to join the Union County Comprehensive Emergency Assistance System and Continuum of Care (CEAS/CoC). This is a group of agencies and government entities in Union County working to address homelessness. Supporting documentation and questions with written answers from a county administrator are located in the council packet and on the city website.
