The PSE&G project to replace gas pipes throughout Summit is currently underway. Work is expected to be complete by early summer 2023 depending on project progress over the spring. Over the next week, crews will be replacing mains and services on the following streets in Summit, weather permitting: Essex Road between Whittredge Road and Dogwood Drive
Woodland Avenue between Karen Way and Canoe Brook Parkway
Sherman Avenue between Norwood Avenue and Lorraine Place
Tanglewood Drive between Joanna Way and Dale Drive
Rotary Drive between Rotary Lane and Ashland Road Road closures and detours will be in effect, and Summit police will be onsite to direct traffic. Work will take place Monday through Friday between the hours of 7AM and 5PM, weather permitting.
