The PSE&G project to replace gas pipes throughout Summit is currently underway. Work is expected to be complete by early summer 2023 depending on project progress over the winter. PSE&G crews will be replacing mains and services on the following streets in Summit over the next week:
Waldron Avenue between Whittredge Road and Springfield Avenue
Woodland Avenue between Bedford Road and Beverly Road
Morris Avenue between Norwood Avenue and Kent Place Boulevard
Essex Road between Whittredge Road and Springfield Avenue
Highland Drive between Rotary Drive and Rotary Drive
Canoe Brook Parkway between Iris Road and Rose Lane
Little Wolf Rd between Drum Hill Drive and Tanglewood Drive
Road closures and detours will be in effect, and Summit police will be onsite to direct traffic. Work will take place Monday through Friday between the hours of 7AM and 5PM, weather permitting.
