The PSE&G project to replace gas pipes throughout Summit is currently underway. Work is expected to continue through December 2022. PSE&G crews will be working on the following streets in Summit over the next two weeks:
Hillcrest Avenue between Bellevue Avenue and Woodland Avenue
Hillcrest Avenue between Summit Avenue and Fernwood Road
Karen Way between Canoe Brook Parkway and Wade Drive
Hawthorne Place between Beechwood Road and Shadyside Avenue
After completing work on those streets, crews will continue work on the following streets:
Oxbow Lane between Summit Avenue and Fernwood Road
Wade Drive between Woodland Avenue and Hartley Road
Beechwood Road between Hawthorne Place and Euclid Avenue
PSE&G will be performing milling and paving operations on the following streets over the next two weeks:
Hobart Road between Hobart Avenue and Dogwood Drive
Ridge Road between Hobart Avenue and Summit Avenue
Hobart Avenue between Whittredge Road and Beacon Road
Bedford Road between Morris Avenue and Woodland Road
Canoe Brook Parkway between Hartley Road and Bedford Road
Llewelyn Road between Beechwood Avenue and Bellevue Avenue
Road closures and detours will be in effect, and Summit police will be onsite to direct traffic. Work will take place Monday through Friday between the hours of 7AM and 5PM, weather permitting.
