On Sunday, August 21, 2022, at approximately 6PM Summit Police Department responded to a report of an armed robbery at Arch Sunoco on Morris Turnpike in Summit, NJ.

Two male suspects wearing hoodies and face masks driving a black, four-door Audi with a temporary license tag in the rear window entered the Sunoco service station and parked adjacent to the fuel pumps. The driver exited the vehicle with a shotgun, approached the attendant in the cashier’s booth and demanded money. The second suspect, armed with a handgun, searched the attendant, and removed $95 in cash from their person.

The suspects returned to their vehicle and fled east on Morris Turnpike towards Springfield, NJ. The gas station attendant was unharmed.

Summit Police Department asks anyone with information pertinent to the investigation, including surveillance footage of the suspects or suspect vehicle in the area, to contact the Detective Bureau at (908) 273-0051.
