The Spotted Lanternfly (SLF) is an invasive pest that causes damage to more than 70 species of plants, including hardwood trees and important crops in New Jersey. SLF populations in Union County have been confirmed by the NJ Department of Agriculture, and there have been many reports of sightings in the Summit area. If you see one, please stomp it out! They will not sting or bite humans or animals.
