New recycling changes and collection schedule effective Friday, July 1
Please be advised:
The new recycling changes and collection schedule went into effect on Friday, July 1, 2022.
Recycling pickup is now five days a week, on the same day as residents' weekly trash collection, however, there is a modified schedule for recycling pickup the week of 7/4; please see below for more information. The trash collection schedule is available on the city website. Please note, there is no change to the trash collection schedule or operations.
There is a modified schedule for recycling collection for the week of 7/4/22 due to the Fourth of July holiday. Pickup will be pushed back one day every day this week. Wednesday collection is pushed to Thursday 7/7, Thursday collection is pushed to Friday 7/8, and Friday collection is pushed to Saturday 7/9.
Household curbside recycling is now single-stream; cardboard and paper items can be placed in the same container(s) as plastic and glass items. Items can be in as many containers as is necessary to fit all items at the curb; they do not need to be in one single container. Clean and dry recyclable items should be placed in covered containers at the curb. Wet cardboard and paper cannot be recycled.
