The Summit Police Department weekly blotter from June 13 to June 19, 2022
6/14/2022—At 1150 hours a report was taken for an unlawful entry of a motor vehicle parked at a Whittredge Road residence. The victim stated home camera surveillance footage revealed two unknown individuals enter their unlocked 2018 BMW M55 on 6/13/2022 at 0400 hours. The center console had been opened and rummaged through; at the time of the report nothing was taken.
6/14/2022—At 2017 hours a report was taken for a burglary to a Karen Way residence. The victim stated upon returning home from work at 2000 hours they found the front door ajar. Police were contacted and conducted an interior and exterior check of the residence and determined the basement window was the point of entry. At the time of the report a list of stolen items had not been provided.
6/17/2022—At 1709 hours a report was taken for a theft from a Morris Avenue business. The victim stated the incident occurred just prior to contacting police, when a juvenile male was seen placing two bottles of lemonade inside a backpack. The individual exited the business without purchasing the merchandise. The total amount of the theft was $5.52.
6/18/2022—At 0148 hours three juveniles from Newark were arrested and charged with eluding police, receiving stolen property and criminal mischief. The juveniles were processed and provided with a pending court date.
