The Westfield Regional Health Department and City of Summit, NJ are advising any persons spending time in the bar area at Roots in Summit located at 401 Springfield Avenue between November 3 and November 12, 2020 to obtain a COVID-19 test. If dining in another part of the restaurant or outdoors, patrons are advised to consult a physician.
Harvest Restaurant Group has confirmed that multiple employees at Summit Roots location have tested positive for COVID-19. The restaurant has been fully cooperative with the health department’s investigation and has voluntarily closed on November 12 and will remain closed for a minimum of two weeks. The Westfield Regional Health Department will remain in close communication with the restaurant.
If you are sick with COVID-19 or think you might have COVID-19, stay at home except to receive medical care, call ahead before seeing a doctor, wear a mask over the nose and mouth if you must be around other people or animals, including pets even at home, do not share personal items in the home, cover coughs and sneezes and clean high-touch surfaces regularly.
