All previously suspended fees and permit requirements for parking in downtown Summit will be reinstated on Wednesday, July 15. Fees for on-street parking in downtown Summit, for parking in municipal lots and garages, and parking permits for certain municipal lots and garages will be required beginning on Wednesday, July 15. The Union County Clerk Providing is providing extra hours for voters to drop off mail in ballots in both the Elizabeth and Westfield offices on Monday, July 6 from 8AM to 8PM and on election day Tuesday, July 7 from 8AM to 8PM. For more information, visit https://www.unioncountyvotes.com
The Union County Board of Elections has designated three polling locations in Summit for in-person voting from 6AM to 8PM on primary election day July 7. Voting machines will be available for voters with disabilities. Ward 1 Districts 1 to 6 will vote at Summit High School located at 125 Kent Place Blvd. Ward 1 Districts 7 to 12 will vote at Washington School located at 507 Morris Ave. Ward 2 will vote at the Summit Community Center located at 100 Morris Ave. Districts 1 to 6 will vote in the Guida Gym; Districts 7 to 13 will vote in the Investors Bank Gym. It's reopening day for the Summit Free Public Library. Masks are required (unless under age two). Hours are 9AM to 9PM from Monday to Thursday, and 9AM to 5PM on Fridays and Saturdays.
