The New Jersey State Department of Health has informed the City of Summit of five new positive cases of the COVID-19 coronavirus in Summit, NJ, bringing its total number of confirmed cases to 154. Of the confirmed cases of COVID-19 coronairus in Summit, the Westfield Regional Health Department confirms the following:
• Ages range from 16 to 100
• 17 patients are hospitalized
• 14 of the positive cases are associated with long-term care (12 residents and two staff)
• Five are deceased (three deaths associated with long-term care)
• 26 patients have self-reported recoveries
The Common Council meeting scheduled for Tuesday, April 28 at 7:30PM is open to members of the general public by remote access only.
