April 17, 2020 - The New Jersey State Department of Health has informed the City of Summit of three new positive cases of the COVID-19 coronavirus in Summit, NJ, bringing its total number of confirmed cases to 123. Of those reported cases investigated by the Westfield Regional Health Department, it confirms the following:
• Ages range from 20 to 100 years
• 11 cases are associated with a long term care facility (resident or employee)
• 15 patients are hospitalized
• Three are deceased (two from a long-term care facility)
• 15 have self-reported recovery
The WRHD continues to conduct contact tracing for all reported cases.
