COVID-19 UPDATE
The New Jersey State Department of Health has informed the City of Summit of four new positive, confirmed cases of the COVID-19 coronavirus in Summit, NJ bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 89.

The Westfield Regional Health Department has confirmed the first fatality in Summit.

According to the Westfield Regional Health Department, residents affected by the COVID-19 virus range in age from 20 to 79 years. Two residents have reported a full recovery, and 10 residents remain hospitalized.

STATE & COUNTY PARK CLOSED
Effective tonight at 8PM, all State of NJ and Union County Parks will be closed until further notice. This includes Briant Park and Passaic River Park in Summit. City of Summit municipal parks will remain open and the city will continue to monitor people are adhering to social distancing guidelines. If social distancing restrictions are not strictly followed, municipal parks will be closed.
