Effective immediately, the City of Summit Parking Services Agency is implementing the following changes for dumpster and bagged meter permit fees and post office lot parking.

Residents with a current parking permit may now park in the post office lot #10 on Monday through Friday between the hours of 5AM and 6PM for a maximum of 13 hours at a time. Click here to register for a parking permit. This lot remains available for downtown employee parking.

The increased daily cost for a bagged meter permit in the Central Retail Business District is $30 for private construction and $25 for utility companies and non-profits. Request forms are available at the Parking Services Agency at 512 Springfield Avenue and must be submitted at least 48 hours before beginning work, along with payment in the form of cash, check, or credit card.

The daily fee for a dumpster in a metered parking space in the Central Retail Business District is $40, including Sundays. The fee to have a dumpster parked on a non-metered street in Summit is a flat fee of $40. There is no cost for residents to have a dumpster on private property. Request forms are available at the Parking Services Agency at 512 Springfield Avenue and require a signature from the Summit Police Department Traffic Bureau before submitting to Parking Services. Request forms must be submitted at least 48 hours before beginning work, along with payment in the form of cash, check, or credit card.
