Leaf Collection

The City offers curbside leaf collection (PDF) twice a year, during the Spring and Fall, from residential properties. Leaves left curbside in biodegradable bags only are collected on your scheduled trash collection day.

Requirements

Please place leaves in paper, biodegradable bags curbside. Property owners should not rake or blow leaves into piles in the street. Do not include twigs, branches and other yard debris in leaf bags.

Collection Dates

Spring collection

  • Spring collection begins the Monday of the first full week in April through three (3) weeks ending on a Friday.
  • Spring collection is scheduled for curbside pickup on your household trash collection day.

Fall collection

  • Fall collection begins on the Monday of the first full week of October and ends on the Friday of the first full week in December (or on first major snow fall)
  • Fall collection is scheduled for curbside pickup on your household trash collection day.

Rules include . . .

  • Use biodegradable paper bags only.
  • Leaf pickup is on your garbage collection day.
    • It may take up to two weeks after placing bags at the curb before they are collected
    • A truck separate from the one collecting your garbage is used to pick up leaves 
  • Leaves left at the curb after the last scheduled collection day will NOT be picked up and must be removed from the curb by the resident.
