The City of Summit strongly encourages all residents and business owners to create a Smart911 profile. Having a profile not only ensures that you will receive emergency alerts but also helps emergency services to respond more effectively by providing them with crucial medical and location information.
Nixle Alerts
The Summit Police Department issues Nixle alerts providing important, event-related information by telephone, email and text message, as well as through the Everbridge website.
City Website Notifications
Subscribe to receive general notifications by email and text from the city website, including information on agency activities and city services.
Social Media
The City of Summit utilizes Facebook and Twitter to keep residents informed about events and on-going items of interest. During an emergency, both Facebook and Twitter will be utilized to communicate as well.
